Press presentation for final selections for Miss Trans Grand International Myanmar was held at My Hotel located near Revolution Park on 20th September.

In this event, 29 selected Transgender Misses were presented to press.

“Ceremony like this was held to say no to discrimination of Transgender women and to have equal right for them. Miss means more than to show their beauty. We aim these Misses to be able to share their knowledge to the people living in their respective towns using the experiences they have attained from the contests and to contribute for Transgender as much as they can,” said Ko Swan Ye Htet, the Global director for organizing Miss Trans Grand International Myanmar 2018.

Myanmar will host Miss Trans Grand International Myanmar 2018 for Transgender women as a first time at Sky Star hotel on 22nd September 2018.

“The main fact is that people generally hate LGBTs. Events like this can give knowledge not to discriminate like this. And we also get strength through these events. I will carry on doing everything concerning with LGBT. We want to go forward by holding hands, helping one another with humanity and without discrimination, knowing that LGBT are people among people,” said Miss Thaton, Ye Wint Thu.

Selection of contestants for Miss Trans Grand International 2018 was done by conducting over 10 Miss Trans International 2018 competitions in respective States and Regions from December 2017 to August 2018.
