Yangon Pride Boat Parade is back on board since its first debut in 2019. The Pride Boat Parade was celebrated for the second time on January 18th 2020 where three ferries set sail with rainbow flags along the Yangon River.

Similar to its first debut in 2019, both LGBTIQ participants and allies in colorful outfits and rainbow crayons on their cheeks, came on board to express their full support for the LGBTIQ community this year.

Additionally, a nationwide campaign to repeal Article 377 was also carried out by the supporters posting pictures of pink-colored pinky fingers on social media.

In honor of the 6th edition of Yangon Pride, famous artists such Htun Eaindra Bo, Ni Ni Khin Zaw, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein and AR-T will be performing for free at Thakhin Mya Park (Jan 24th– 26th) and the Institut Français de Birmanie (Jan 31st – Feb 2nd).
