An LGBT short film named Missing Puzzle (Hna Oh Ta Eain) was chosen for 8th Wathan Film Festival.

The documentary film was created by young director Hein Z and his crews, members of Rainbow Reels from Basic Documentary Film-making Workshop organized by Colors Rainbow.

“I feel recognized for this is my very first film and is chosen for the festival.

This is our very first project for all of us, director, cameraman, and song engineers. I’ve seen my character but after meeting and talking in person, I decided to make the film,’’ said the director Hein Z.

The film will be on screen at Goethe Institute Myanmar at 6:00-8:00 p.m. on September 5 and at Waziyar Cenima at 1:00-3:00 p.m. on September 8.

Missing Puzzle conveys the main character’s efforts facing life’s changes and challenges.

8th Wathan Film Festival will be held at Waziyar Cinema from September 5 to September 10 with 11 contesting films and others and the entrance fees is K500.

At the 7th Wathan Film Festival, A Simple Love Story (A Chit Zat Lan Yo Yo Lay Dabote) by director Hnin Pa Pa Soe aka Can Dal and Miss or Miss (Tharaphu) by director Ko Wai Yan won Best Documentary Film Award and Audience Award.
